The Walking Dead Hyundai Veloster Zombie Survival Machine has made its debut at the 2013 San Diego Comic Con, featuring a plethora of modifications to survive the apocalypse.
Making its debut in the Future US booth at SDCC, the custom Veloster features a “Vitamin C” textured paint with hand-fabricated armor and a saw blade tooth-like front grille. Chain link fencing surrounds the rear taillights while the front bumper has been equipped with quick-change chainsaws and horde plow. The hood has been complemented with sand bags and a double-barrel shotgun – enough toys to make James Bond seem inadequate in a zombie world.
But all the weaponry isn’t reserved for the front end, as the Veloster also sports door-mounted flame throwers, base blades, and machine guns. And if the going gets tough, the rear of the Veloster has a barrage of even more arsenal including a baseball bat with spikes, a samurai sword, knife blades, and an off-road style armored rear bumper.
Inside, the Veloster gets a rugged treatment with LineX-style sprayed flooring, metal-fabricated interior walls, and reinforcement for the roof hatch and roof-mounted weapons.
The custom Veloster is a follow up to last year’s Elantra Coupe Zombie Survival Machine and is built by Galpin Auto Sports in collaboration with Future US, The Walking Dead, and Hyundai.
